The Journey of Spider-Man 2 on PS5
Spider-Man 2 launched in October 2023 and was well-received, but it lacked some key features that players were eagerly awaiting. The most requested feature was New Game+, allowing players to replay the main story with all their acquired powers and abilities. Initially, Insomniac hinted at a 2023 update to introduce New Game+, but it got delayed to early 2024. Now, the wait is almost over!
Insomniac Games' Announcement
According to a tweet by Insomniac Games on February 7, the New Game+ update is set to launch on March 7. While the full patch notes are yet to be released, the developer assured fans that a "complete list of features" will be shared closer to the launch date.
What's More in the Update?
Insomniac has revealed that apart from New Game+, the update will also bring the ability to change the time of day in the city, alter tendril colors when using symbiote powers, and replay specific missions. There's even more to come in the next big update. What else could Insomniac be adding? We'll have to wait and see.
Personal Wishes
Personally, I would love to see an option to play as Venom in the open world. While it's unlikely, we can always hope for a Venom spin-off game from Insomniac in the future.
