The Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection launch on March 14 did not go as smoothly as fans hoped. Issues cropped up from online multiplayer to missing control options, and other annoying bugs.
The remastered package contains the first two Pandemic-developed Battlefront games. Despite the initial disappointment, a significant patch has been released for the Classic Collection, resolving many issues.

The Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection released last week combines the original 2004 Star Wars: Battlefront and its 2005 sequel, Battlefront II, into a single remastered package. This package includes all the previously released DLC and some new features, like 64-player online support for consoles and the ability to play the Hero Assault mode on any ground map.
However, the online play experience was less than stellar, and offline play was also plagued with bugs. Fans were hopeful that game developers Aspyr would release a patch to address these issues. The first of two confirmed updates is now live and has improved the gaming experience significantly.
Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection Available on Humble Bundle
The Classic Collection's first update is now live on PC. The update, made available via Steam, includes a comprehensive list of tweaks and fixes. Consoles will receive the update once it passes each platform's certification process.
Notable Fixes in the Update
Notable issues addressed in this update include the split-screen controller bug, broken scopes in widescreen resolutions, and incorrect loading screen noises in Battlefront. Other fixes include overly loud sound effects, a pesky profile bug, and missing textures on maps like Naboo.
Aspyr is also working on server-side adjustments to improve the online multiplayer experience. They have confirmed that another major patch for the game is in the works.
While this update has fixed many issues, there are still some performance problems in Battlefront II, lingering audio bugs, and more. The next patch is expected to improve things further. For those who prefer the older versions, Lucasfilm and Disney have kept the original games on Steam.
