Is a new Astro Bot DLC on the horizon?

Astro Bot has just been released, and some of you might have already finished it.

During the credits, you might have noticed a long list of third-party publishers being thanked for their character appearances through various Bots.

Potential DLC for Astro Bot?

Team Asobi's PS5 exclusive features a total of 173 cameos from the PlayStation universe.

Interestingly, the credits also mention studios whose characters are not currently in the game, hinting at potential DLCs.

For example, Ubisoft is thanked for Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil, and Rayman, even though these characters aren't in the game yet.

• Stellar Blade
• Rise of the Ronin

Notably, there is no mention of Square Enix, whose iconic Final Fantasy characters are absent from Astro Bot.

Square Enix has always been strict about using its licenses in other games, which many players find disappointing given the long association between Final Fantasy and PlayStation.

What to Expect?

Team Asobi hasn't confirmed the nature of these DLCs but has stated they are working on new challenges.

These additional levels will likely feature new Bots to unlock.
