We had the chance to try Monster Hunter: Wilds at Gamescom 2024. Capcom France invited us to test an early version of the game.

The anticipation for the release is high after our first contact with this new installment of the cult saga.

Gone are the grappling hook and Chumsky. The game returns to its roots, similar to Monster Hunter World in gameplay.

The introduction sets the stage for Wilds, showcasing Capcom's efforts in creating a spectacular experience.

The use of the RE Engine delivers high-quality graphics and dynamic gameplay. The new mount, Seikret, adds excitement to the game.

After a thrilling chase, we faced a Chatacabra in a combat tutorial, only to have our demo end suddenly.

Capcom's Community Manager gave us another segment to explore, allowing us to freely roam the first zone and fight the Doshaguma.

We tested the new dual weapon feature, switching between a Volto-Hache and a Morpho-Hache. This adds variety and flexibility to the gameplay.

You can set up your tent almost anywhere, adding convenience to the game. However, specific zones are designated for camping.

Combat feels more fluid and responsive. The Seikret mount helps you reposition during fights, making it easier to find weak spots on your target.

The Concentration mode, initially a concern, proved to be balanced and challenging to use against complex monsters.

The game's presentation is top-notch. Real-time weather changes add to the immersive experience.

During a battle, we encountered a sandstorm and a lightning-filled environment, which added layers of strategy to the fight.

The sound design is impressive. Creature roars, weapon impacts, and ambient sounds enhance the overall experience.

The soundtrack is already thrilling, adding to the game's epic feel.

We are eagerly awaiting the release of Monster Hunter: Wilds. The game promises to be a must-have in 2025.
