This powerful weapon is available right at the start of the game, making it a game-changer for your adventure. While some might argue that the Ancient Alacrity is the ultimate bow, it’s only accessible near the end of the game. The Long Touch, on the other hand, is perfect for most of your journey. The Long Touch: Passive Bonus and Enchantments
The Long Touch comes with the Lesser Opening Strike passive bonus, which gives you +5% damage when hitting enemies at full health. While this isn’t the most impressive perk, the bow’s real strength lies in its enchantments.
It also has the Grim Focus enchantment, which boosts your critical hit chance by +10% when fine aiming. You can upgrade this enchantment with one of two permanent options:
- Lethal Focus: Increases critical chance to +20% when fine aiming.
- Thrill of the Hunt: Grants +10% attack damage and +20% attack speed for 6 seconds after killing an enemy.
Where to Find The Long Touch
You can grab The Long Touch early in the game, right after you reach Paradis in the Dawnshore region. Unlike other unique weapons, this one is sold by a nameless militia merchant in Northern Paradis (also called Hightown).
Head to the Militia Headquarters, located in the northeastern part of this posh area. The merchant sells the bow for 4,320 coins, which might seem pricey early on. However, selling unused items and collecting gems will help you afford it quickly.
