Blizzard Announces Music Collaboration with LE SSERAFIM

On October 18, Blizzard announced the first music collaboration for Overwatch 2, which will introduce a custom game mode and hero skins inspired by K-pop stars LE SSERAFIM. The collaboration will be unveiled in the shooter on November 1.

LE SSERAFIM's Influence on Overwatch 2

LE SSERAFIM, the five-member girl group behind popular songs like “FEARLESS” and “ANTIFRAGILE,” will be featured in a custom game mode and hero skins in Overwatch 2. Moreover, the hero shooter will be highlighted in the music video of LE SSERAFIM’s upcoming single “Perfect Night” which debuts on October 26 at 9 pm PDT.

Why Collaborate with LE SSERAFIM?

The question arises, why would Overwatch 2 collaborate with LE SSERAFIM? Formed in 2022—the same year as Overwatch 2—the girl group proclaimed their ambition to stand at the pinnacle of their musical genre. Their name, an anagram for “I’m fearless,” aligns well with the game’s competitive spirit. Plus, the group's extensive reach, with 8.9 million listeners on Spotify and over 6.5 million followers on Instagram, presents a significant opportunity for Blizzard.

Blizzard's general manager, Walter Kong, expressed his excitement for the collaboration in a press release. He compared the LE SSERAFIM members to the heroes of Overwatch, describing them as "amazing as individuals, but unstoppable when they come together."
