Hades II Game Details

First unveiled at the 2022 Game Awards, Hades II promises to retain the roguelike mechanics of its predecessor while introducing a new protagonist, Melinoë. This character, the sister of the original game's protagonist, Zagreus, appears to have a more serious demeanor than the prince of the underworld.

How to Participate in the Technical Test

Those interested in participating in the technical test, which Supergiant says will begin "shortly", simply need to go to Steam and click the "Request Access" button on the Hades II game page. Be aware, though, that this test will be limited. As Supergiant explains, "Our process boils down to: invite some players, fix any problems they run into, invite more players, and so on."

What to Expect from the Technical Test

The technical test will feature the first major area of Hades II, along with early-game characters and content. If players manage to clear the available area in the test, the game will suggest they stop playing and wait for Early Access, which should be coming soon. However, note that save data from the technical test will not be transferred to the Early Access version of Hades II.

Supergiant does not have a definite timeline but expects the technical test to run for a while.
