What's Coming in the New Season?
Diablo's general manager, Rod Fergusson, revealed in an April 10 interview with IGN that the game's upcoming season, launching on May 14, will feature a completely reimagined loot system. This system will significantly alter how players acquire, evaluate, and use the equipment they find.

Previously, the vast array of loot with various attributes and affixes often resulted in players acquiring gear that was not useful for their character build or class selection.
