Nintendo Unveils New Princess Peach Game
Previously only hinted at, Nintendo has finally given fans a comprehensive look at its upcoming title featuring the beloved Princess Peach. The full reveal occurred during the Nintendo Direct on September 14. Titled 'Princess Peach: Showtime!', the game will see our favorite princess donning new outfits in a style reminiscent of Sailor Moon, which will provide her with new abilities each time.
The Plot of 'Princess Peach: Showtime!'
The game kicks off with Princess Peach and a group of Toads heading to the Sparkle Theater to enjoy a play. However, their plans take a turn for the worst when the malicious Grape and the Sour Bunch crash the show. This forces Peach and Stella, the theater's guardian and a floating star, to intervene.
Peach and Stella's Dynamic
Initially, it appears that the relationship between Peach and Stella is the focal point of the gameplay. Stella floats behind Peach, using her ribbon-like appendages to assist Peach in warding off villains and collecting hard-to-reach coins. However, the trailer soon reveals that Peach will take on a variety of roles in this game, transforming into different characters such as Swordfighter Peach, who sports a fancy hat, britches, and a long coat. And yes, she wields a sword and knows how to use it.
More Than Just a Swordfighter
But that's not all. Peach can also morph into Detective Peach to track down invaluable artifacts stolen from a museum. Alternatively, she can transform into Patisserie Peach to engage in a dessert-making minigame to keep a bakery running after someone steals all their treats. Or she can become Kung-Fu Peach to defeat baddies in a martial arts school. It's delightful to see Peach finally sporting some pants while also showcasing her femininity in other moments. It's a testament that girls can do it all!

Though the trailer only showcased a few, there are "many other transformations" awaiting players in 'Princess Peach: Showtime!'.
