Microsoft is bringing back the nostalgia with its new lineup of see-through Xbox controllers. The company has announced the Cipher Series for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, and they look incredible. These translucent controllers are reminiscent of the early 2000s aesthetic, and they are definitely catching the attention of gamers everywhere.
Translucent Colors
The new Cipher Series controllers come in five stunning colors: green, pink, red, purple, and teal. There is also a completely clear option. These controllers feature black handles that make the colors pop, along with new Chroma D-pads and back paddles for a nice finishing touch.
As part of the Xbox Design Lab, you can mix and match your favorite translucent shell with your preferred color scheme for the buttons and triggers. The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 starts at $150, which is a good price for one of the best controllers out there.
Affordable Options
If you're looking for a more affordable option, the Ghost Cipher Special Edition controller is available for $70. This controller makes the entire body see-through with white and grey pieces inside and golden accents on the D-pad and triggers. It's a companion piece to the previously announced Sky Cipher controller, which is transparent blue.
