Star Wars Outlaws to fix unfair stealth missions next week
Star Wars Outlaws is getting a much-needed fix for its controversial stealth missions. The game's chief developer, Julian Gerighty, admitted that these missions were "incredibly punitive" and promised a correction soon.
Gerighty confessed that the missions were a mistake and that they are working hard to improve them. He said, "I don't think we need to remove the failure state completely, but there are millions of ways to make the game more enjoyable and understandable."
The Problem with Stealth Missions
Gerighty continued, "I think it's unfair. Believe it or not, it wasn't our intention. It slipped in during the last week, and we're already fixing it with a patch that might come out in 10 days."
He made this comment on September 7, 2024, which means the fix should be available by September 17.
What to Expect
This fix is just one of the ways Gerighty plans to improve Star Wars Outlaws. The creative director has expressed disappointment with the game's reviews and wants to make continuous improvements.
IGN France rated the game 8/10, noting that while it had few surprises, the immersion was total, making it a massive entertainment hit for the summer.
