Netflix announces animated series based on Midnight Sun
Netflix has officially announced an animated series adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel, "Midnight Sun". This series will retell the events of "Twilight" from the perspective of Edward Cullen.

The streaming platform confirmed on social media that they have started working on this new adaptation. While details are still scarce, we know the story will follow the original novel closely.
Stephenie Meyer will be the executive producer, alongside Meghan Hibbett. Other notable producers include Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen from Temple Hill Entertainment, as well as Erik Feig and Samie Kim Falvey from Picturestart.

The first mention of this new Twilight series was in April 2023. Initially, Lionsgate showed interest in adapting the saga into a series. It wasn't until March 2024 that it was confirmed to be an animated series.
We also know that "Midnight Sun" will be available on Netflix, although no casting details have been revealed yet.
