The game's name changed from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf to emphasize a "rich and fascinating group of companions." This was highlighted in the first official trailer at the Summer Game Fest, showcasing seven new companions who will join the player character, Rook.

Corinne Busche, the game director, explained that these companions are central to both the story and gameplay.

Davrin
