Another Year of Thrilling Game Awards Comes to an End

Exciting New Pokémon Trailer Released

Game of the Year
Baldur’s Gate 3 by Larian Studios took home the coveted Game of the Year award, beating out strong competition from Alan Wake 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Best Game Direction
The award for Best Game Direction went to Alan Wake 2 by Remedy Entertainment/Epic Games Publishing, edging out Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Best Adaptation
The Last of Us by PlayStation Productions/HBO won the award for Best Adaptation, overcoming competition from Castlevania: Nocturne, Gran Turismo, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Twisted Metal.
Best Narrative
Alan Wake 2 by Remedy Entertainment/Epic Games Publishing was the winner for the Best Narrative, defeating Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Final Fantasy XVI, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Best Art Direction
The award for Best Art Direction went to Alan Wake 2 by Remedy Entertainment/Epic Games Publishing, surpassing Hi-Fi Rush, Lies of P, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Best Score and Music
Final Fantasy XVI, composed by Masayoshi Soken, won the award for Best Score and Music, outperforming Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Hi-Fi Rush, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Best Audio Design
The award for Best Audio Design went to Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks, beating out Alan Wake 2, Dead Space, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Resident Evil 4.
Best Performance
The award for Best Performance was won by Neil Newbon for his role in Baldur’s Gate 3, triumphing over Ben Starr, Cameron Monaghan, Idris Elba, Melanie Liburd, and Yuri Lowenthal.
Innovation in Accessibility
The award for Innovation in Accessibility was won by Forza Motorsport by Turn 10 Studios/Xbox Game Studios, overcoming Diablo IV, Hi-Fi Rush, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Mortal Kombat 1.
