CD Projekt Red's Earnings Report

The Polish studio shared this news on March 28, based on the company's fiscal year 2023 earnings report. According to the presentation, Cyberpunk 2077 generated three billion PLN (Polish currency). After conversion to USD, the action-adventure FPS game has made approximately $751,555,500 to date.

Cyberpunk 2077 and its Expansion, Phantom Liberty

The earnings report does not differentiate between the earnings from Cyberpunk 2077 and its 2023 expansion, Phantom Liberty. However, the graph shows that the game's sales slowed down in 2021, picked up in 2022, and almost doubled in 2023 with the release of Phantom Liberty. Additionally, CD Projekt Red revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty DLC were the major contributors to the company's revenue in 2022 and 2023, outperforming the games in The Witcher series.

New Trilogy in The Witcher Series

CD Projekt Red also confirmed in the earnings report that 403 of its 627 developers are working on a new trilogy in The Witcher series, known as "Project Polaris".

Free Trial of Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has also announced a free trial of Cyberpunk 2077 that went live on March 28 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The free trial allows players to play the game for five hours, and their progress will be saved for the full game if they decide to purchase it. However, the trial does not include access to Phantom Liberty, and it requires a substantial download of 99.3GB on PS5 and 103GB on Xbox Series X/S. The free trial was available until April 1.
