Peter Renaday, the voice actor for Master Splinter in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, has passed away at the age of 89.
The news was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by Renaday's agent. He was found at his home in Burbank, California, and it appears he passed away peacefully from natural causes.
Renaday's Iconic Role
Renaday was best known for voicing Hamato Yoshi, also known as Splinter, the wise mutant rat and mentor to the Ninja Turtles. He voiced this character from the show's debut in 1987 until its conclusion in 1996.
He even reprised his role for the TMNT: Coming Out of Their Shells concert in 1990.

In addition to his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Renaday had an extensive career in voice acting.
- Voiced Abraham Lincoln in Disney World's Hall of Presidents.

Renaday was married to Florence "Flo" Daniel, who worked as a secretary in the music department at Walt Disney Studios until her death in 2011.
