But what about the recent $50 birthday card? It's pretty much identical to the previous ones, with the same size pin, the same Pokémon on the pin, and the same cut-out design. It's not made of diamond or anything special, as far as we can tell.

Update: The price of this item has now been reduced to $19.99. It's still a hefty amount, but at least it's not the original $49.99. We like to think that our alerting the Pokémon Company to the issue may have helped get it fixed.
