Patch Notes: Hero Changes

The most humorous change in this April Fools' patch is the transformation of Mauga, a typically large and robust tank, into a mini version of himself with a squeaky voice and a mere 25 health points.

Other changes include Ramattra's ultimate becoming a cooldown, Sombra's Virus ability spreading to surrounding foes, Brigitte becoming twice her size, and Lifeweaver's platform lifting you higher than half the map. It's utter chaos.

Overwatch 2 April Fool's 2024 Patch Notes
Blizzard has acknowledged an issue where these balance changes only appear in an arcade game mode, temporarily named "Balanced Overwatch". Additionally, some new challenges are granting developer's doodle sprays, which are planned to be fixed by April 8.
Hero Updates
Due to technical difficulties, a significant portion of the balance tweaks for the S9 Competitive update were omitted. To address this, they are being released now, making it easier than ever to switch heroes mid-game.
General Updates
The maximum ultimate charge preserved on hero swap has been increased from 15 to 49%.
Tank Updates
Among the tank updates, D.Va's boosters can now move backwards and be canceled with Crouch. Mauga's health has been decreased from 350 to 25, and his scale has been reduced by 50%.
Other Hero Updates
Orisa's Energy Javelin now ricochets once and explodes when it sticks. Ramattra's base armor has been increased from 100 to 225, and his Annihilation has been moved from his ultimate to Ability 1.
