Ragnarök's Valhalla Is Free!

There are elements in the Ragnarök game that I won't discuss due to spoilers, but one notable change is the replacement of the 2018 game's impactful awkward silences with a continuous chatter of supporting characters. They endlessly discuss their backstories and emotions, leaving me feeling more familiar with Freya and Angrboda’s family drama than with that of my own friends. So, imagine my excitement when I found out that the Valhalla DLC was a solo mission for Kratos. Finally, an opportunity to face off against draugr and trolls without the need to mute my TV.

Jusant: A Game to Chill Out

There are times when the violence and gore of video games can be exhausting. Sometimes, all you want is a low-key game with a chill vibe rather than a high score or a body count. Don't Nod, the studio behind narrative adventure games Life is Strange and Tell Me Why, released such a game, Jusant, on October 31. This narrative puzzle-platformer about ascending a lonely tower is a gem I'm only now discovering.
