Posted on November 8 on Insomniac Games' official support page, the team detailed the specifics of version 1.001.005 for the PlayStation 5 exclusive. MJ will now be tougher on higher difficulty levels, preventing her from being “defeated in one hit.” The patch also fixes a bug when swapping characters during phone calls, allowing for a smoother gameplay experience.

Game-Breaking Problems Fixed

Some game-breaking issues, like the finale of the Marko’s Memories side quest getting stuck and the game not reloading after dying during a boss encounter, have been resolved.

Additional Fixes in the Update

There’s also an interesting fix in this new update. Cases where Spider-Man could “lose the ability to jump” have been addressed. Moreover, a problem where your save file would become unusable if you abandon a mission and enter the game’s open world has been eliminated. The update also enhances Spider-Man 2's overall performance and stability.
