Unlocking Fishing in Throne and Liberty
To start fishing, you need to reach Chapter 3, around level 12. At this point, you'll be in Kastleton, where the fishing mechanic becomes available. Here, you’ll meet Adventurer Pro Percy, a penguin-like character who introduces you to the Amitoi Expedition mechanics. After completing your first expedition, Percy rewards you with a Bamboo Fishing Rod, marking the beginning of your fishing journey.
How to Fish
Once you have your Bamboo Fishing Rod, equip it by right-clicking the item in your inventory. You’ll see a new icon above your spell bar, indicating that you’re ready to fish. Stand next to a body of water, and press F to cast your line. When a fish bites, an on-screen prompt will appear. Hit it quickly to hook the fish.
As you reel in the fish, use the A or D keys to control the rod and bring your catch to shore. Be mindful of your stamina bar to avoid losing the fish. Remember, you’ll need bait to fish in Throne and Liberty.
Getting Bait
Fishing requires bait, and there are four types available:
- Paste Bait
- Bait Worm
- Fish Fillet Bait
- Shrimp Bait
You can purchase bait from the Contract Coin Merchant in major settlements. A box of 50 bait costs 30 Contract Coins, but you can only buy one box per day. Alternatively, you can buy bait using Ornate Coins, the game’s premium currency, or by defeating level 30-40 monsters to get Shrimp Bait.
