THIS MIGHT BE ONE OF THE WORST THINGS FORTNITE'S EVER DONE

EPIC IS ADDING THE INFAMOUS AND UGLY CYBERTRUCK TO THE POPULAR FREE-TO-PLAY BATTLE ROYALE

Fortnite's next crossover isn't with a cool new movie or a beloved comic book franchise.

Instead, Epic is adding Tesla's silly and ugly Cybertruck to the F2P game in a move that might be one of the worst and cringiest things yet.

In November 2023, after lots of hype and even more jokes, electric car manufacturer Tesla released the Cybertruck, its spin on an electric pickup truck, to the world.

Well, just the United States, and that's largely due to how dangerous the Cybertruck is for basically anyone around it.

Since its release, the truck has been criticized for poor battery performance, unsafe doors and corners, crappy build quality, and much more.

At one point, Tesla had to recall all of them and tack a bolt onto the Cybertruck's accelerator pedal to stop the metal cover from sliding off and locking it down during driving.

And now this overpriced and embarrassing hunk of junk is coming to Fortnite.

On July 22, the official Fortnite Twitter account announced that Tesla's Cybertruck would soon be available in Fortnite.

The controversial truck is officially coming to Fortnite on July 22.

To celebrate this announcement, Fortnite released a short teaser featuring a digital Cybertruck.

I do think it's funny that Tesla and the company's owner, Elon Musk, famous for being rich, shitty, and weird, would be okay with adding the Cybertruck to Fortnite, a game all about shooting cars.

The Cybertruck is marketed as bulletproof, but that won't be the case in Fortnite.

So Cybertrucks are going to be shot and destroyed quickly by players, which may not be the best way to market your bulletproof e-truck to people.

But then again, it's not like the folks behind the Cybertruck have had many good ideas to begin with, so why start now?

As for Epic and Fortnite, while it's not the worst thing the game has ever done, it's certainly up there.

At the very least, it's the most embarrassing and cringey move from Epic in some time.

On the other hand, I saw some players suggest they would download Fortnite just to shoot and destroy some Cybertrucks, so perhaps Epic is onto something.

I mean, I'm excited to watch Spider-Man and Ariana Grande shoot rockets at a Cybertruck the next time I play.

So maybe this was a good idea after all.
