Video game content creator TacticalBrit tweeted that the concept art shows a war-torn Gibraltar.
Several points of interest in the concept art match photos of Gibraltar in the real world, making this concept quite relevant.
Why Gibraltar?- Strategic bridge between Europe and Africa
- Appeared in Battlefield 2142 via the Camp Gibraltar map
Gibraltar's strategic importance makes it a logical choice for a game involving theoretical conflict.
Game Features
Aside from the location, Zampella shared some details about the game:
- Abandoning the unpopular specialist system for more traditional classes
- Naval and helicopter combat
- Natural disasters like wildfires
Development and Release
Four EA-owned studios are working on Battlefield:
- DICE for multiplayer
- Criterion for single-player and multiplayer
- Motive for single-player
- Ripple Effect for a "new experience"
There is no release date or platform information yet.
