Experienced players of Final Fantasy 16 will be no stranger to the game's thrilling crossover and collaboration events. A recent event saw players exploring Eorzea with Clive in search of a brand new Torgal mount. These events are usually time-limited, and the upcoming Yo-kai Watch collaboration is no exception.
Yo-kai Watch Collaboration: What to Expect
Making a comeback since its 2020 debut, the Yo-kai Watch event is set to return. Players are encouraged to secure their mounts and minions before the event concludes.
Start of the Yo-kai Watch Event
The Yo-kai Watch Gather One, Gather All crossover event commences on April 24, 2024. Players level 15 or higher can begin the questline by speaking to the Poor-heeled Youth in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald at the coordinates (X:9.2,Y:91.).
If you're new to the game, focus on reaching level 15 to participate in this exciting event. Leveling up to 15 isn't too challenging - just follow the main scenario quests, and you'll level up in a few short hours.
How to Earn Rewards in the Yo-kai Watch Event
Upon completing the event's opening quest, you'll need to finish FATEs across every region. This will earn you Yo-Kai medals, which can be exchanged for minions at the Wandering Executive at the Gold Saucer.
But that's not all! There are 17 Yo-kai minions to collect, including the cute cat Jibanyan and the peculiar ghost Whisper.
Legendary Medals and Their Rewards
Legendary Medals are another reward to look out for. These are earned by completing FATEs while having one of the 17 minions equipped. Each minion corresponds to a different Legendary Medal, meaning you'll need all minions to collect all Legendary Medals.
These medals can be given to the same Wandering Executive at The Gold Saucer for different weapons like the Paw of the Crimson Cat or the Globe of the Lucky Snake. And if you manage to obtain 13 weapons, you'll be awarded the Whisper-Go mount!
Availability of the Yo-kai Watch Event
The Yo-kai Watch limited-time event will run until June 26, 2024. It will conclude just before the 48-hour maintenance period that precedes the early access launch of the new Dawntrail expansion on June 28, 2024.
Make the Most of the Event While It Lasts
Although this collaboration is running longer than most other crossovers in FF14, we don't know if or when it will return again, so make sure to get everything you want from it while there's still time.
Remember to manage your time wisely, as there are several other events running parallel to the Yo-kai one. Between this, the Dragon Quest Collaboration, the return of the Moogle Treasure Trove, and the FF16 collaboration quests, you'll have a busy schedule leading up to Dawntrail's launch on June 28.
