Horizon Zero Dawn Remake Unveiled at State of Play Event
Sony just confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn will be the next title to get the remaster treatment during the State of Play, with a release date set for October 31.
This remaster will include ten hours of re-recorded dialogues and numerous visual improvements. PS4 owners can upgrade their version of the game for a small fee.
Why the Remaster?
Although this is the first official communication about the project, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was an open secret. It was accidentally confirmed by an ESRB rating last week and had been the subject of many rumors for years.
These rumors were fueled by the removal of the original game from PS Plus last May. Many questioned the need for a remaster, especially since the game has been playable on PlayStation 5 in 4K 60FPS since 2021.
Game Popularity
Despite the skepticism, Horizon Zero Dawn remains one of the best-selling PlayStation games, surpassing 24 million units sold since its release in 2017.
Key Features of the Remaster
- Ten hours of re-recorded dialogues
- Numerous visual improvements
- Upgrade option for PS4 owners
With these enhancements, the remaster promises to offer an even more immersive experience for both new players and longtime fans.
