Play Elden Ring: Nightreign Early with These Sneaky Tips
The anticipation for Elden Ring: Nightreign is building, even though we still don't have an official release date. However, the first online playtests are starting, giving fans a taste of what's to come. FromSoftware has announced the schedule for these multiplayer spinoff sessions. Gamers on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can now sign up for free network tests. This is an exciting opportunity to explore the new co-op features and dynamic combat that Nightreign promises to deliver.
To participate in the network tests, registration is open on Bandai Namco's website. You have until January 20 at 9:00 am ET to sign up. All you need to provide is your age, email address, and your preferred platform. After that, the publisher will randomly select players to join the February network tests. This is your chance to dive into a portion of the action RPG and experience it online with others.

What to Expect from Nightreign
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring: Nightreign aims for a 2025 release. Unlike its predecessor, this spinoff focuses on co-op play for up to three players. You can also play solo, facing waves of challenging enemies and bosses. The game features a day-and-night cycle and a randomized version of the original open-world map.
Priced at $40, Nightreign feels inspired by PC mods that transformed Elden Ring into a survival roguelite. The combat is expected to be faster and more dynamic, offering a fresh take on the beloved series. Lucky players will soon experience this firsthand during the upcoming network tests. While these tests are exclusive to current-gen consoles, the full game will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
