God of War Ragnarök

Current goal: Give it a second chance
God of War Ragnarök didn't hit for me the first time I played it in 2022. I adore the father-son duo, Kratos and Atreus, but the game felt both bloated and rushed. The pacing left a poor taste in my mouth. However, the free Valhalla DLC changed everything. It distilled the experience down to the best parts, and now that it's on PC, I'm giving it another go. Maybe taking my time with it will change my perspective.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Current goal: Get to the good stuff
I've been looking for new co-op games to play with my friends, and we finally landed on Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. This fantasy spin-off of the Borderlands series starts a bit slow, but the top-down board game-style overworld is fascinating. We're excited to see how it differentiates itself from the mainline sci-fi shooters.
UFO 50

Current goal: Lose more sleep to this incredible collection
Every year, a game comes along that reignites my love for video games. This year, that game is UFO 50. It's a compilation of 50 new retro games, and it feels like a window into a pocket dimension where developer UFO Soft actually existed. These games are bursting with creativity and vision, making them a rich celebration of one of the most exciting eras in game development history.
Fortnite
Play it on: The sofa
Current goal: Somehow stop playing
I didn't mean to start playing Fortnite, but my son nagged me into it. Now, I'm hooked. It's a top-notch multiplayer shooter with a battle pass and an abundance of quests. I'm currently level 91 in the season and close to unlocking the final page of the main battle pass. I blame my son for getting me into this, but I can't stop playing!
Visions of Mana

Current goal: Gather the last Alm
As a huge fan of the Mana series, I'm determined to finish Visions of Mana. Despite its choppy pacing and frequent cutscenes, the game has a lot of potential. The polished combat and gorgeous world make it a standout among recent Square Enix sequels. I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves as I progress through the game.
