As an Au Ra Warrior of Light, imagine yourself donned in Clive's armor, astride his Torgal mount. The latest crossover event in Final Fantasy XIV is here, and it features none other than Clive Rosfield from last year's action-RPG Final Fantasy XVI.
Clive, the beloved sad boy, is in for a surprise as he finds himself in the MMO, a project ironically spearheaded by the producer of Final Fantasy XVI, Naoki Yoshida. Clive's arrival in Eorzea might seem a bit off, but it culminates in an epic battle that would feel familiar to both Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI players.

Rewards for Completing the Crossover Questline
As a token for completing the short but sweet crossover questline, which runs from now until May 8 at 7:59am PDT, Final Fantasy XIV players can unlock Clive's iconic gear, a mount of his canine companion Torgal, and a minion version of Torgal as a pup.
Starting the Crossover Questline
To start this exciting crossover questline, players must first reach level 50 and complete the quest "Ultimate Weapon." Essentially, you have to win over A Realm Reborn before you can begin.
Once you've accomplished that, make your way to Ul'Dah to start the questline. Teleport to the Aetheryte in the Steps of Nald and then head outside. Look for a quest giver by the steps to your right, who'll be sporting a quest called "A Land On Fire." Grab this to begin your journey.
Proceeding with the Questline
Interact with the quest giver to learn about a dream they had. Make your dialogue choices and then teleport to Camp Drybone for the quickest route. Follow the objective marker east from Camp Drybone to find a wandering minstrel. Talking to the minstrel will spawn an interaction point for players to "survey" the area and look for something "off."
Once you're in first-person view and looking through the spyglass, look just below you at a rock platform in the water with a little bridge. Here, you'll spot a "Strange Man." We've found our missing man: Clive Rosfield.
Wrapping Up the First Quest
Talk to him and you'll eventually be ported back to Thanalan. Keep following the objectives and you'll wrap up the first quest! Simple, isn't it?
Continuing the Questline
This questline revolves around Clive, so as long as you don't lose sight of him, you'll always be on the right track. Talk to him again to pick up the next quest, "Path To Recall," and then get ready for some typical MMO back-and-forth.
