Roughly six months after its launch, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available for free under two conditions: you have an Amazon Prime subscription and a gaming PC that can handle it.

Rocksteady's infamously criticized loot masher is one of three surprise games being given away for Prime Day 2024.

Free Games Available

  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
  • Chivalry 2

Between July 16 and 18, Prime members can claim these games from the Amazon Prime gaming page and keep them via the Epic Games Store.

For those unfamiliar, Rise of the Tomb Raider was the surprisingly good middle entry in the reboot trilogy that was initially overlooked because it started as an Xbox One exclusive.

These three games are in addition to the 15 other free games that Amazon has been giving away leading up to Prime Day 2024, including:

  • Hitman Absolution
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2

Game Reviews and Updates

While Suicide Squad has many issues, it's not all bad. Some people are curious to see why some fans love it and why others consider it a disaster.

The combat is enjoyable, resembling a rhythm brawler more than a true shooter. However, the mission variety, character progression, and loot are disappointing.

There are some polished cinematic moments expected from the makers of the Batman Arkham trilogy, even if the story ends abruptly and its conclusion seems stuck in a live-service roadmap.

The second free seasonal update introducing Mrs. Freeze as a playable character was delayed until the end of July.

Despite reportedly being a $200 million flop, Rocksteady Studios plans to finish the game's announced post-launch content, which could extend through next summer.

In the meantime, the team appears to be pitching single-player projects, similar to those that made it famous initially.
