Ubisoft developers assure xDefiant is thriving, not dying
Ubisoft's multiplayer FPS, xDefiant, is not dying despite analyst feedback suggesting it hasn't met expectations.
Mark Rubin, executive producer of xDefiant, stated in a blog post that the game is "absolutely not dying." The development team at Ubisoft San Francisco acknowledges the need for improvements.
"I want to quickly address the game's status," Rubin said. "No, the game is absolutely not dying. We know there are things we need to improve, like the Netcode and Hitreg, and adding content to progression, but the game is doing well."
He added, "We just want it to do better. We achieve this by addressing our community's concerns, which has always been our goal. Ubisoft supports us and has allocated more resources to the team so we can do this."

xDefiant is a fast-paced, free-to-play arena shooter. It combines intense gameplay with customizable loadouts and specialized factions.
The competitive market can be brutal. After the closure of Concord on PlayStation, some fans worried about xDefiant's longevity.
