Activision Blizzard had previously stated they had no plans to bring their games to Game Pass before the end of the year. However, fans remained hopeful that a game or two from the back catalog might unexpectedly appear before 2024.

This situation is notably different from when Microsoft acquired ZeniMax and its Bethesda Game Studios. Games like Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim were quickly added to Game Pass following the acquisition. Call of Duty's Future on Different Platforms

Spencer also confirmed that Call of Duty will continue to strive for parity between the Xbox Series X/S versions and those on other platforms. This means no exclusive content or special deals, a recent trend on PlayStation 5. The upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, releasing on November 10, will have a Lockpick Operator DLC pack exclusive to Sony's console, a remnant of Activision's previous agreement with the PS5 maker prior to the sale.
