Sony has recently doubled the price of Horizon: Zero Dawn on PS4 following the announcement of its PS5 remaster. This has caught the attention of many gamers and industry watchers.
Price Increase Details
Eurogamer noticed the price hike in the UK, where it jumped from £15.99 to £34.99. Similarly, in the US, the price increased from $19.99 to $39.99 on the PlayStation Store. The game now costs €39.99 on the French Store as well.
For years, Horizon: Zero Dawn has been part of the PlayStation Hits collection, priced at $19.99 alongside other popular titles like God of War and The Last of Us Remastered.
Remaster Announcement
The price hike comes just days after Sony announced a remaster of the seven-year-old game during its State of Play 2024 event. The remaster will be available for €49.99, with a €9.99 upgrade option for current owners.
Sony has also removed Horizon: Zero Dawn from the PlayStation Plus catalog in May. This means the game went from being free for subscribers to €19.99, and now €39.99, within the last four months.
