While most of the game is relatively easy, aspiring trophy hunters will find themselves needing to tackle some challenging tasks to earn that coveted platinum trophy. One such task is catching a gold butterfly in the level "Apes on the Loose" to snag the "Net Profit" trophy. This level is a delightful nod to the Ape Escape series and is part of the Gorilla Nebula galaxy. Fortunately, with the right guidance, finding the gold butterfly isn't too difficult.
How to Snag the Net Profit Trophy
In "Apes on the Loose," you're equipped with a net to catch apes throughout the level. However, this net is also crucial for capturing the elusive gold butterfly hidden within the stage.
Where to Find the Gold Butterfly
As you progress through the level, you'll come across a large plaza with an Ape statue resembling the Statue of Liberty. To find the gold butterfly, follow these steps:
- Take a right in the plaza and head around the back side of the area.
- Locate a lone bush next to a platform with a ladder.
- Use R2 to hit the bush with your net, which will cause the gold butterfly to appear.
Once the butterfly is out, it will fly quickly in circles around the plaza. You'll need to chase it, jumping and spamming R2 to catch it. Alternatively, you can try cutting it off by crossing the plaza and waiting for it to fly by.
Successfully catching the gold butterfly will earn you the "Net Profit" trophy, bringing you one step closer to the platinum trophy. Keep pushing forward, as there's plenty more Astro Bot adventure to enjoy!
