Marvel's Spider-Man (2018)
The game begins when NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe asks Peter Parker to assist with the arrest of Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. Spider-Man, as he prefers to be called, helps the police capture Fisk and then returns to his day job.
Peter Parker, our Spider-Man, works for Dr. Otto Octavius. Unlike his villainous portrayal in the comics and films, Dr. Octavius in this game is not evil. Instead, he wants to help people, even if it means struggling financially. This inspires Parker to be a better person.
After a few days, Spider-Man encounters Mary Jane Watson during a museum heist. However, Parker and Watson are not a couple in this version of the Marvel universe. They are exes who have an awkward reunion during the heist.
Parker and Watson work together to prevent the heist, but they fail to stop the gang from stealing a folder with important information. Later, Parker visits FEAST, a homeless shelter run by his Aunt May and Martin Li.
Martin Li, who is also the powerful supervillain, Mr. Negative, runs a gang called the Inner Demons. Li hates Norman Osborn, the mayor of New York City. With Kingpin out of the picture, Li and his gang take over his turf and resources to use them against Osborn and the city.
Dr. Otto Octavius also harbors a grudge against Osborn for betraying him and ousting him from Oscorp, a company they founded together. Octavius is suffering from a disease that's gradually destroying his body. Peter helps him work on mechanical prosthetics that can be controlled via neural implants. However, the disease and his hatred for Osborn corrupt Octavius, and he starts plotting against Osborn.
