The tricky part is that the nearby chocobos that you need to stealthily pass by don't get distracted by thrown rocks. The solution to this problem is to operate the second mini-train switch after the first. This will summon another mini-train car to provide cover. You might falsely assume that the second switch sends the first car back in reverse, but it doesn't.

Utilizing Rocks and Trains for a Successful Sneak

Once the second mini-train car reaches its spot, it's time to use the rocks. You will need to throw one at the switch you just hit to propel the mini-train car forward. This will serve as cover while you sneak past the chocobo. You will need to keep throwing rocks at the train switches to continue moving forward, using the mini-trains as cover to stay hidden from the watchful birds.

Time to Gather Supplies

After securing Belle, you can climb the walls to meet up with Wainwright. Follow the quest objective, and you will find him sleeping in his cabin. You will have options on how to wake him up. Regardless of your choice, he will wake up and provide you with a map to find three different sources of materials.

You will need to use Belle to sniff out the locations of these items whenever a red question mark appears over her head. Once you find the location of each piece of driftwood, stand over the area while riding on Belle and hit down on the D-pad. After obtaining all the pieces, return to Wainwright.
